Two Brunswick Councilmembers Endorse Doug Gansler for Governor

BRUNSWICK – Two Brunswick City Councilmembers today announced their endorsement of former Attorney General Doug Gansler and former Hyattsville Mayor Candace Hollingsworth for governor and lieutenant governor of Maryland.

“I am endorsing Doug because he gets that small town needs are not necessarily the same as big city needs,” said Councilmember Christopher Vigliotti. “I like that he not only knows where Brunswick, Maryland is on the map but has a space for Brunswick in his heart. And I think that in an increasingly partisan and divisive world, Doug understands people and he gets what it takes to bring people together. He will make sure the state works with the city to protect our natural resources and to update our aging infrastructure.”

“Doug and Candace will work directly with cities and towns to build a safe, just and strong Maryland,” said Councilmember Andy St. John. “They are candidates with deep ties to Maryland, and a history of service in the state. I like that they reached out to our community, and already knew where Brunswick was on the map. It is with great enthusiasm that I endorse the Gansler-Hollingsworth campaign.”

“I love Brunswick and can’t wait to make it to Beans in the Belfry the next time Candace and I are in town,” said Gansler. “Chris and Andy are incredible local leaders and I look forward to working closely with them to ensure this community is safe, just and strong for years to come.”
